SIGMA and Louis-Berger collaborated in providing professional services for the upgrade and renovation of Queen Alia International Airport in it's first phase of upgrade. The scope of work on the passenger terminals included: facility inventory, functional design assessment, life safety analysis, assessment and upgrade of service equipment and systems such as: CCTV, FIDS / BIDS, PA Systems, BMS, as well as operational improvements like building electromechanical systems.
The passenger terminal expansion and upgrading program demanded major redesign of the departure wing where our team prepared a new master plan for the airport in addition to the terminal apron, a new connection to the parallel taxiway and a new passenger terminal building.
